After a career of 35 years in the technical world, I thought it was time to go full steam ahead with an idea that had been in my head for years: a Bed And Breakfast where people can feel at home after a long day at work or in the city.
I am fortunate that for years we have lived in a property that lends itself perfectly to this. The assets are tailor-made for a B&B: located on the south side of Ghent outside the LEZ zone, close to the city, a streetcar right in front of the door, space to park on the property, a beautiful garden, bright rooms. To make it as comfortable as possible for our guests, we converted the entire second floor into 3 spacious rooms (25 to 30 m2) with private ensuite bathrooms.
I immediately chose the concept where breakfast is included. I love a good breakfast myself, both at home and on the road. And that’s what I want to offer my guests.
In our B&B there is no excessive decoration, the rooms are sober but warm. Not too many stimuli, the day is busy enough, but some coziness, that’s my style.
